Benedictine Living Community of Ada (BLC Ada) campus is located in the heart of the beautiful Red River Valley in Ada, MN. BLC Ada, formerly Bridges Care Community, shares a campus with Essentia Health Ada which includes Essentia Hospital, Clinic, Rehab Center and Norman County Emergency Medical Services. It is located near the Norman County Fairgrounds, the Norman County Historical Society Museum, the Ada-Borup School and several churches. BLC Ada is a part of the The Benedictine Health System, a Catholic organization entrusted with advancing the health care ministry of the Benedictine Sisters of Duluth, Minnesota.
The BLC Ada campus includes Benedictine Care Community, a 49 bed skilled nursing facility; Mission Court, an 18 unit assisted living facility; and Benedictine Supportive Services, a 12 hour senior assistance service located in two unique apartment buildings in Ada, MN.
Benedictine Care Community consists of two unique "neighborhoods", Pioneer and Wild Rose, each of which features a large, bright commons area with skylights, fireplaces and three indoor gazebos for small gatherings, card games and conversation. Connecting the neighborhoods is an indoor street on which you'll find a Beauty/Barber Shop, a Coffee Courtyard, an Activities Center, and access to the secure outdoor courtyard.
The dining area is spacious and looks out onto the outdoor courtyard. Diners are treated like guests in a fine restaurant. Uniformed staff serve selections from an extensive menu or lighter fare from the salad, sandwich & soup bars. There are also two private dining rooms for family gatherings and celebrations.
Each Resident room is part of an award-winning design which provides comfort and privacy. There is a large window for each bed overlooking the beautiful BLC Ada Campus. Far from the institutional look , the rooms and common areas of Benedictine Care Community are carpeted, decorated and warmly furnished to feel like home. There are private and semi-private accommodations, but even the semi-private rooms offer an unsurpassed level of privacy and personal space.
While at home, Benedictine Care Community residents can take part in numerous social and individual activities including art, music, socials, wellness, youth groups and the frequent entertainment provided by visitors from the surrounding area.

Mission Court assisted living apartments are a part of the Benedictine Living Community of Ada campus. Mission Court provides 24 hour quality nursing care in an environment that features 18 stylish and cozy apartments that highlight open natural views of the campus. Mission Court is attached to Benedictine Care Community-a skilled nursing facility, and Essentia Health Ada-which includes a hospital, clinic, rehab center and Norman County Emergency Medical Services.
Mission Court has 1-bedroom, 1-bedroom plus den, and 2-bedroom units. It features a beautiful dining/lounge area, an exercise room with the latest equipment, a Child Learning Center that provides intergenerational activities, an attached garage for tenant use, and a chapel that hosts many ecumenical services as well as provides a spiritual space to meditate and pray for the entire campus.
Mission Court’s staff is trained to assist individuals and their families through the transition from home, while keeping tenants’ needs a priority. We help tenants maintain their independence, while providing the security of always having someone there. We achieve this through friendships, nutrition guidance, medication management, assistance with day-to-day activities such as showers, laundry and wellness, and by providing many activities to keep everyone socially involved and active.
Benedictine Supportive Services enhances independent living through 12 hour Senior assistance located in two unique aprtment buildings in Ada, Minnesota. Both Valley View Manor and Summerfield Apartments are centrally located within the community and offer all the comforts of home with the added security of 12 hours Supportive Services.
LIFE ALERT between the hours of 7am and 7pm the life alert will alert the supportive staff on duty of the emergency for a quick response. Between 7pm and 7am, life alert will notify the 911 operator.
Transportation is also available aboard the Benedictine Living Community of Ada Bus which is wheelchair accessible and makes frequent trips for both appointments and pleasure. A wide variety of entertainment, social and spiritual opportunities are offered and every effort is made to keep residents vital and active.
