Bridges Care Community is a skilled nursing facility located in the heart of the beautiful Red River Valley in Ada, MN. The 49-bed facility shares a campus with Essentia Health Ada which includes Bridges Hospital, Clinic, Rehab Center and Norman County Emergency Medical Services. It is located near the Norman County Fairgrounds, the Norman County Historical Society Museum, the Ada-Borup School and several churches. Bridges Care Community consists of two unique "neighborhoods", Pioneer and Wild Rose, each of which features a large, bright commons area with skylights, fireplaces and three indoor gazebos for small gatherings, card games and conversation. Connecting the neighborhoods is an indoor street on which are you'll find Beauty/Barber Shop, a Coffee Shop, an Activities Center, and access to the secure outdoor courtyard. The dining area is spacious and looks out onto the outdoor courtyard. Diners are treated like guests in a fine restaurant. Uniformed staff served selections from an extensive menu or lighter fare from the salad, sandwich & soup bars. There are also two private dining rooms for family gatherings and celebrations. Each Resident room is part of an award-winning design which provides comfort and privacy. There is a large window for each bed overlooking the beautiful Bridges Campus. Far from the institutional look , the rooms and common areas of Bridges Care Community are carpeted, decorated and warmly furnished to feel like home. There are private and semi-private accommodations, but even the semi-private rooms offer an unsurpassed level of privacy and personal space. Transportation is also available aboard the Bridges Care Community Bus which is wheelchair accessible and makes frequent trips for both appointments and pleasure. A wide variety of entertainment, social and spiritual opportunities are offered and every effort is made to keep residents vital and active. While at home, Bridges residents can take part in numerous social and individual activities including art, music, socials, wellness, youth groups and the frequent entertainment provided by visitors from the surrounding area. Bridges Care Community is truely innovative in its approach to providing care.
