Spiritual Care

Prince of Peace Care Center offers a variety of Spiritual Care programs for residents ranging from personal visitations to counseling for residents and their families.  Our staff encourages spiritual vitality and helps to bring hope and comfort.  Worship services are held regularly and are provided by our volunteer Chaplain.  Additionally, area churches representing a variety of denominations hold regular services at Prince of Peace Care Center.

Peace Chapel

In an effort to provide a more suitable place for our residents to worship, away from the noises and distractions of a health care facility, the staff at Prince of Peace along with members of the community established the Peace Chapel Campaign. The original objective of the campaign was to raise enough funds to move an existing country church to the site and renovate it to meet the needs of the facility. However as research and planning progressed, it was deemed much more beneficial to build a new structure which would replicate a rural church, yet house all the amenities of a modern building. On May 13, 2008, after nearly two years of planning, a ground breaking & blessing ceremony was held. Shortly after, construction on the chapel began and continued throughout the summer and fall. Finally, on December 18, 2008, the Peace Chapel became a reality with a Dedication Ceremony led by Bishop Samuel Aquila. Since its construction, the Peace Chapel has housed religious services on regular basis along with resident activities and many special events.
