St. Benedict's Feast Day Celebration

St. Benedict's Rule and influence are every present at St. Benedict's Health Center and Benedict Court today as it was in the 6th century in Europe.

To honor and celebrate the Feast Day of St. Benedict's on March 21st, every year, we create an art piece to reflect on the yearly focused Core Value, and share it with the community as a practical guide to the teaching of the Core Value and St. Benedict’s wisdom.

This year, we centered around the Core Value of “Hospitality” and produced a pictured artwork. We hope to share the calling of the Gospel of loving one another through the sharing of this artwork, and invite everyone to share the life with St. Benedict’s, where vibrant hospitality is experienced.

In addition, the recipient of Sr. Claudia Living A Legacy Award is announced at the same day. The award is designed by Benedictine Health System to recognize the employees in each facility who best exemplify St. Benedict’s Mission and Core Values and practice those daily at work.

We invite you to visit us and take part of St. Benedict's sheltering love. Click here to view this year's Feast artwork, and visit our Facebook page for the award recipient information.

The 2nd Annual Crab Crack on the Prairie Fundraiser - A Crabtastic Experience!

Serving as one of the yearly major fundraisers, the 2014 Crab Crack on the Prairie provided not only a significant support to St. Benedict's ministry of caring for those in need, but also a fun time for the event attendees with good food, relaxing entertainment, and pleasant companionship.

This year, more than 300 community members joined the dinner event and shared a crackin’ good time! The social was followed by an abundant dinner feast composed of king crab legs, BBQ ribs, savory side dishes, and assorted choices of beer, hard cider, and dessert bar. Accompanied the feast, was delightful musical entertainment, and a fun crab paddle game.

We appreciate the support of our sponsors (click here to view the event program and sponsor list), donors, volunteers, committee members, 4th Degree Knights and Ladies of Columbus, Elks Lodge (Executive Chef, Ray Veverka), Jerome Distributing, and all of the guests who attended the event.

We look forward to serving you a good night again. But remember, seats are limited, contact us soon next year!
