Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapy provides skilled evaluation and treatment to maximize independence in daily activities or function.  Occupational Therapy services promote quality of life and self-sufficiency, helping individuals to remain within their own home or work environment through the following:

  • Training within the areas of daily living skills such as dressing, homemaking, eating, and bathing
  • Upper body strengthening, activity tolerance, and range of motion
  • Fine motor skills such as writing, buttoning and tool manipulation
  • Cognitive evaluation and retraining including safety assessment
  • Wheelchair seating and positioning
  • Adaptive equipment management
  • Energy conservative and joint protection principles with functional activities
