A team of three staff members from Benedictine Health Center of Minneapolis volunteered at the Homeless Connect event in Minneapolis on March 29, 2010. Homeless Connect is a one-stop shop for persons experiencing homelessness, There have been seven events since the first event at the Basilica, growing to serve thousands of individuals seeking services with the help of nearly 1,300 volunteers at each event. |

Research Project - "Planning Tomorrow's Care" Click here to see and download the Executive Summary of the recent research project "Planning Tomorrow's Care", conducted for Benedictine Health Center of Minneapolis by Wilder Research. This important project was done in order to thoroughly study community needs related to long term and senior care. The report outlined recommended next steps for the facility in the work toward our vision - 'to create Benedictine Living Communities where health, independence and choice come to life'.

Serving Somali Elders Staff members from Benedictine Health Center of Minneapolis visit neighboring VOA Park Elder Center two times a month to conduct blood pressure and glucose screenings for the Somali elders. We also participate in the periodic health fairs at the center. We value this partnership. |
Food Donations The Mission Integration team sponsored a holiday food drive in December, 2009. The community partner that received the donation of over 200 pounds was Community Emergency Services. Community Emergency Service (CES) is a non-profit crisis relief and empowerment ministry that serves the inner city of South Minneapolis.
