Employment at St. Eligius Health Center St. Eligius has a wide range of employees serving our residents. We take pride in the fact that employee turn-over within our facility is continually low. This low rate of job turn over emphasizes that our employees take pride with their employment status at St. Eligius Health Center. Nursing Department RN positions The registered nursing staff directs the care of the resident under the direct orders from the residents’ physicians. Assessing of our residents’ conditioning and communicating to the physicians and family members is an essential duty of our nursing staff. Registered Nursing positions within St. Eligius: Director of Nursing Clinical Managers Assistant Clinical Managers Staff Development/Wound Management Admission Coordinator/Infection Control Manager RN Supervisors LPN Positions The licensed practical nurses’ job duties include the passing of medications and completion of treatment per the physician’s orders and the residents’ plan of care. NAR positions The nursing assistant is the primary caregiver for our residents. The job duties vary greatly and an individual plan of care is developed to guide the staff to provide the appropriate care for each resident at St. Eligius. Social Services The duties of the Social Services staff members include developing individualized plans of care, discharge planning, and assisting to meet the psychosocial needs of the St. Eligius residents. Medical Records The medical records manager coordinates the medical information and records of the residents. Health Unit Coordinator The health unit coordinator (HUC) assists the nursing staff to complete and communicate the physician orders for each resident on an individualized basis. Chaplain The chaplain offers spiritual comforts to those residents, family, and staff members in need. The St. Eligius chaplin assists with church and memorial services. Activity Department The activity director develops the activity plan of care for each resident. The activity staff provides a large variety of opportunities for residents to socialize during their stay at St. Eligius. Dietary Department The Registered Dietician provides individualized plans of care for each resident and directs the members of the dietary department. Business Department The business office manager provides direct supervision to those in the department. Staffing Department These duties include the scheduling of all staff members and ordering of supplies to be used within the facility. Director of Quality and Corporate Compliance This staff member is in charge of completing in-house audits to ensure continual quality improvements within our facility. Physical Therapy Occupational Therapy Housekeeping The housekeeping department duties include the cleaning and disinfecting of resident rooms and other areas of the facility. Maintenance The maintenance staff attends to needs within the facility in regard to the running of all equipment. Laundry The laundry department duties include the washing, drying and delivery of clothing items and linens for our residents at St. Eligius. Volunteers Our volunteers are very much a part of our St. Eligius family. Volunteers can contribute their time and talents as often as they wish. Our volunteers provide additional warmth and friendship to our residents. Volunteer opportunities include visiting with our resident, reading mail, newspapers and books, providing refreshments during house activities, accompanying resident on outings and to appointments, working closely with therapy department.
